Testimonials
As Blake Henderson, we now run 82 Serviced Accommodation rooms mainly for the contractor market. We realised that we could use some help setting up our systems and processes, mainly around Kigo our channel manager. We met Carey & Mike at a Serviced Accommodation mastermind group and were impressed by their knowledge in the area from the start. I approached Carey to spend some time in our offices as a consultant to train the team on the ground. Not only did we get excellent value for for money from the time that she spent with the team in our environment, but she offers a high level of support via phone calls as problems or issues arise.
Both Carey & Mike are great people to work with who’ve acquired a great working knowledge in the Serviced Accommodation arena. This along with their previous experience as lettings agents and their recent step up to developments makes them the perfect team to help you with your property business’s, as they have us with ours…….
Andi CookeMike and Carey helped us improve certain aspects of our lettings department making it more stream line and easier to deal with. Great communication throughout the process and explained everything in simple terms in a way we could understand. Carey even helped GlassHouse interview prospective candidates for a lettings mangers position and they made what could have been a very time consuming and difficult task very straight forward; minimising the amount of work we had to do. We found a great manager very quickly and we couldn’t of asked for more with the result 10/10
They under promised and over delivered!
Joe Phillips“Having acted for over 15 years for the previous owners of Maitland Rachel my services were retained by the new owners Michael & Carey McKeown when the sale completed on 1st March 2006.
My role was to audit the client account in line with ARLA’s industry regulatory standard , prepare annual financial statements and provide general accounting advice on an ongoing basis for the duration of their tenure.
Michael & Carey always passed the audit examinations without blemish and were able to obtain a prestigious level of trust within the banking community achieving Direct Debit sponsorship . This for a small business is almost impossible without such an impeccable trading history.
Over the course of the 8 years that they ran Maitland Rachel I saw them both grow into very astute business people that ran a very tight ship but always had their clients best interest at heart, providing an excellent service unrivalled locally which eventually led to a very profitable competitor buy out.

Simon SmithMike McKeown was engaged by Minimal Risk Consultancy initially to assist the Operations Team with the management of UK and International Deployments in 2015 during a period of expansion. It soon became apparent that Mike was adept at managing client’s expectations, simultaneously engaging with company employees and contractors. The Directors were soon unanimous in promoting Mike to company Project Manager, passing across the responsibility and authority to engage with a broad spectrum of clients, contracts and tasks. Not only did Mike enhance existing contracts, he was directly involved in developing new business. One specific example was during the build-up to the Rugby World Cup in 2015, Minimal Risk were approached to assist with a significant shortfall in security manpower, and expertise. After some hectic negotiations, Mike was appointed as the project lead to coordinate the security provision for the Tournaments International Teams at twenty-three training venues and a small number of Hotels. This was a demanding project that lasted for eight weeks and necessitated the deployment, across the UK involving 123 personnel. The project was a highly successful with no breaches of security achieving 100% KPI.
Had Mike continued with Minimal Risk he would have continued to develop new and existing business. We have no hesitation in recommending Mike to support any form of business in its development.
Kind Regards,
Bob ColeMichael and Carey McKeown have brought unity and clarity to what was and is now, a very successful small company but which had been experiencing some difficulties and inefficiency due to its speedy growth.
Chairing regular management meetings, Mike brought structure, clarity and systems to our business enabling much smoother running, large savings and efficiency. Now clear in its plan and moving to the future we have a united management team who feel confident and secure in their work and the direction for the development of the company.
Carey drew on her HR experience with excellent results. She clarified strengths and weaknesses, aspirations and ambitions using staff appraisals to full effect starting at the top to bring directors together in their vision for the business. Repeating the same process through all staff levels with results that speak for themselves. Mike and Carey’s experience in business management, HR and cost cutting measures ensured our business stayed on its it’s road to success, through some intense periods of change. During this time, we were also fortunate enough to have our youngest daughter mentored by both Carey and Michael this has had a positive lasting effect as she is now one of our most capable senior members of staff, always working in a structured and almost category management like approach to everything she does which in turn positively influences all our management team.
Gary & Karen WaringIn September 2014 Carey was employed by Lower Hope Estate to set up suitable systems and procedures to oversee our fresh wreath making business, she also carried out all the admin and ensured production was effective and efficient. We still use these systems and procedures today and they have played a fundamental part in our increase in turnover since 2014.
In 2015 and now (2016) we asked Carey to return part time on a Consultancy basis to teach and guide the new administrators. Carey oversees the smooth running of the admin office and the production line to ensure the customer receives the best possible service.
Carey provides me with re assurance that comes from her business experience, to enable me to concentrate on other parts of the business. She also provides our customers with very good continuity of customer care and all with a happy smile. Our wreath making operation now runs smoothly. A very worth while addition to our team.
Simon WellsIn every business there are tasks that either we don’t want to do, insufficient time or generally are more efficient to outsource! My introduction to Carey has completely transformed my mind set on the value of outsourcing these certain requirements….
Carey has recently rewritten our whole induction programme for new team members. Having now successfully ‘rolled that out’, she has taken on the quarterly team appraisals. They really appreciated someone from ‘outside’ undertaking this role, which allowed a more balanced and impartial discussion leading to more constructive action points.
Two tasks now outsourced, so looking for the next….
